Ami's Story

Ami's Story

Today we recognize Ami, a Senior Executive in charge of Global Communications at Ascendis Pharma, Inc. During Ami’s tenure at Ascendis, she implemented many important milestones for the Hypoparatyroidism Community. She was instrumental in the start of The TransCon Phase 1 clinical trial and having it progress from Phase 2 to Phase 3. Ami is an integral part of the Voices of HypoPARA Survey, which has been viewed by patients, Doctors, Pharmacy Companies and by countless others. It is an important piece on the burden of illness we face on a daily basis and had been showcased in many arenas. Ami brought the HypoPARA community together on World HypoPARA Day by hosting a reading of A Story of Courage by Ariana Feiner, which was viewed by people from all over the world and is still being watched! Ami brought together a Patient Listening Session with a HypoPARA patient who told their journey from diagnosis through being a patient in the Phase 2 TransCon clinical trial. This, along with all Ami has accomplished during her years at Ascendis, truly shows the core values of Ascendis Pharma’s promise of Patient, Science, and Passion. Ami’s passion, drive, knowledge and understanding makes her a true Warrior and the entire community thanks her for dedication and service on behalf of the HypoPARA patients. While we are so sad to see her move on, please congratulate Ami on her new position. Ami is joining an earlier stage oncology company with a unique antibody technology platform where she will be leading all communications, including building alliances with oncology patient groups. We have no doubt she will touch and change many lives for the better. The relationships she has forged along the way in the HypoPARA community will remain as she has offered herself to volunteer and serve as a consultant to the HPA. Ami will continue to be a champion of the patient voice in drug development. She lives in Palo Alto, California with her husband and three daughters ages 9, 12 and 15. She enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and camping, as well as art, architecture, food and wine tasting.

Thank you Ami for being you. You are a rare gem and are so very appreciated. We are stronger and better because of you and look forward to seeing your next chapter.
