Daniel Ruan, MD

BACKGROUND: Daniel Ruan, MD is a surgeon-scientist committed to the development of novel therapies for patients with endocrine tumors.  He is a graduate  of Duke Medical School and he completed his Surgery Residency at the  Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Ruan then  completed his Clinical Fellowship in Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco.  In addition to his translational research activities, Dr. Ruan has participated in several clinical research studies involving the surgical management of parathyroid diseases. 

Dr. Ruan has taught and mentored students, residents and fellows who are destined to be endocrinology and endocrine surgical specialists.  Dr. Ruan is an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School and is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He is committed to novel surgical approaches to improve outcomes in endocrine surgery.
